The cryptocurrency space is evolving fast. If you’re just getting involved, it can be a headache to try to navigate what is going on. Fret not! There are several avenues where you can get information, including Reddit, Twitter, crypto media outlets, YouTube…the list goes on.
If you’re the type of person who’d much rather watch a video than read an article, crypto YouTube is the perfect place to start. CoinMarketCap has assembled a list of crypto influencers that can introduce you the world of crypto!
Before you start, there is one thing you should know and always remember — “DYOR.”
What is DYOR?
DYOR is an acronym for “Do Your Own Research.” DYOR is always something you have to keep in mind before making a decision to buy or sell cryptocurrency tied to a project (or before making any financial decisions in general!). Before jumping in to buy or sell cryptocurrencies, dedicate time to research the project or coin that you are interested in.
Questions you should be asking include:
- Do the founders have a solid career background? Is the business model sustainable?
- What is the unique selling point of the project in comparison to other similar crypto projects?
- What does the project team’s roadmap look like?
IvanOnTech
Ivan is a programmer, blockchain enthusiast and educator who runs a daily YouTube show called Good Morning Crypto. Aside from covering some of the top news of the day, what’s unique is his live Q&A segment where he answers questions such as, “If you want to invest $10,000 and you must pick just one coin, what you choose: BNB, Kyber, CRO, 0x, Chainlink or Tezos?” It’s always interesting to hear what someone’s opinion is, but don’t forget to DYOR!

DataDash is one of the largest cryptocurrency YouTube channels, with Nicholas Merten at the helm. Nicholas is a crypto analyst with eight years of trading experience, trading stocks, futures and commodities before discovering the world of cryptocurrencies. Turkey is among one of the fastest growing countries in terms of interest and adoption in cryptocurrency. Hailing from this nation is Kripto Emre, whose Turkish-language channel mainly consists of technical analysis and current news about Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Monero and other cryptocurrencies.
