There’s still some debate as to whether we’re at the start of another crypto bull market — what’s indisputable is that we’re in the midst of a crypto recruitment bull market. Take a look at Crypto Jobs List (CJL) and you’ll find hundreds of vacancies posted by leading crypto companies the world over.
Developer roles feature prominently, of course, but you don’t need to be a rockstar coder to get a foot in the door at a crypto exchange or DeFi startup. There are also vacancies for talented marketers, content writers and managers, as a rundown of our top crypto jobs for September shows. The following firms are all hiring, and there are some enticing roles to be filled. Have a read and see if you’ve got what it takes to moonwalk your way into your next crypto job.
If you’re looking for a fresh challenge, cast your eyes over this scattering of current job openings curated by CryptoJobsList and CMC.
CoinMarketCap: Engineers and Product Designer
CoinMarketCap is a trusted aggregator of crypto asset and exchange rankings, with a mission to make crypto discoverable and understandable globally.
At the present time, CoinMarketCap is recruiting a senior product manager, a listings operations analyst and various other postings.
if you are interested in supporting the crypto revolution, CMC is the place to be.
Front End Engineer at Meld Gold
Meld Gold is on the hunt for a front end engineer capable of helping the Australian fintech startup realize its goals of creating an efficient market for trading gold on-chain. You don’t have to be steeped in the gospel of Bitcoin and au fait with blockchain at a forensic level to be hired, but you do need to be capable of coding competently, learning quickly and mastering new technologies. If you fancy a challenge as part of a tight-knit, hungry team, Meld Gold warrants a closer look.
Content Writer – Crypto & Blockchain at CryptoTrader.Tax
You might know your crypto and you might know your way around a keyboard, but how well do you know your crypto tax? If you’ve got the knowledge and the copywriting skills to write about the topic articulately and consistently, CryptoTrader.Tax would like to hear from you. The automated taxation platform, which makes it easy for traders to calculate their tax obligations, is on the hunt for a content writer to take charge of its blog. 50% of the content you’ll be authoring will concern crypto tax, while the remainder will draw upon your broad knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry as a whole.
Junior Blockchain Devops/Systems Administrator at StakeWithUs
Staking is one of the industry’s major growth areas right now, as new protocols utilizing PoS emerge and platforms commoditize staking as a service. StakeWith.Us is at the vanguard of this trend, and it’s currently on the hunt for a talented blockchain devops/system admin to assist with Unagii, its new DeFi platform for earning yield on digital assets. You’ll need to be a jack of all trades — or rather all scripts — to get a foot in the door at Stake.With.Us. The role calls for writing custom scripts for hardening OS automation of server tasks, daily system monitoring and a whole lot more.
Senior Solidity / Blockchain Engineer at KeeperDAO
DeFi is booming, and every company that intersects with the decentralized finance industry seems to be hiring. KeeperDAO, an on-chain liquidity underwriter, is on the hunt for a senior solidity/blockchain engineer. Ethereum devs are highly sought after right now, but KeeperDAO should have no trouble attracting a suitable candidate: the company is on the up, and could be the perfect environment for a Solidity dev seeking their first salaried role. You’ll also need to be familiar with Python, JavaScript, Truffle, Ganache, Web3 and Ethereum CLI if your resumé is to pass muster with the KeeperDAO HR team.
Ecosystem Development Engineer at Tendermint | Remote
Tendermint is one of the most highly regarded blockchain companies in the industry, its infrastructure used to control leading networks such as Cosmos SDK. Tendermint is looking to expand the number of skilled devs on its books by adding an ecosystem development engineer. The job will be a remote role, so you won’t need to relocate. You’ll need to be in regular communication with your colleagues, though, over Slack, Zoom and GitHub. The role calls for “wearing many hats” — metaphorically that is, as you’ll be interacting with front and backend developers. Literally speaking, you’ll be working from home so can wear as many hats as you like.
Senior Backend Developer at DeversiFi | Remote, Europe Preferred
DeversiFi is one of the leading Ethereum DEXs on the market, facilitating fast and low-cost trading of ERC20s — even when on-chain fees are high. The exchange is after a backend developer with exceptional JavaScript skills, while C++ skills are a plus. A plus plus, you could say. Applying for the role will entail completing a four-hour test, if your application reaches that stage, at which point you’ll have a chance to show that you’ve got the skills to match your glittering resumé. Candidates based in Europe are preferred for timezone reasons, but if you’re an exceptional applicant located outside of the EU, you’ll still be considered for the role.
Product Designer at Norwegian Block Exchange
Norwegian Block Exchange (NBX) has been on a recruiting spree lately, as the company that formed as an offshoot of Norwegian Air Shuttle looks to make its mark on the crypto market. Its latest role requires a product designer based in Oslo ideally, or at least able to work remotely to CET. If hired, you’ll be expected to shape the frontend of NBX, ensuring that the branding, feel and form of the site is attractive to users and easy to navigate. Eliminating pain points and advancing UX/UI will be your mandate.
Software Engineer Lead – IOS, Flutter at Bybit
Bybit is rapidly evolving into one of the most important derivatives exchanges in the world, as rivals enforce KYC or lose market share to the Singapore-headquartered exchange founded by Ben Zhou in 2018. Bybit is on the lookout for a lead software engineer who is conversant in iOS and Flutter. You’ll be responsible for leading the design and implementation of Bybit’s iOS platform and will be expected to be proficient in Objective-C or Swift. If that sounds like you, and you’d relish a fresh challenge, fire off an application to Bybit without delay.
Full Stack Developer at Kleros | Lisbon – Earth – Remote
Crowdsourced arbitration platform Kleros is recruiting again, this time for a full stack developer. As one of the well- respected DefF projects in Ethereum, attracting praise from the likes of Vitalik Buterin and Balaji S. Srinivasan, Kleros is a cool place to work — even if you’ll be working remotely. The startup is looking for a full stack developer who is passionate about decentralization and as adept at frontend development as they are at backend. Some HTML and CSS skills wouldn’t go amiss either. If you’ve got what it takes, take a closer look at Kleros and see if your values align with theirs.
For those companies and employees that have now found themselves fully-remote, freelance platform TopTal (which itself is entirely remote!) has released a guide, aptly called “The Suddenly Remote Playbook,” for maintaining the quality of your work in a home work environment.
