BTC is currently trading at ~$7,240, down ~0.3% over the past 24 hours. On the daily chart, BTC broke below its 100-day EMA line, and RSI currently stands at ~47 (a level it has maintained for the past 5 days). On the weekly chart, BTC continues to hold its 100-EMA line, a level it has been battling to hold for the past month. BTC is still trading within its lower highs and lower lows trading pattern/ channel/ zone it has been trading within since late June this year. It is currently testing the lower bound.  |

92,000 ETH on the move  Ethereum Co-Founder and core developer Jeffrey Wilcke reportedly sent 92,000 Ether (ETH) worth $11.5 million to U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Kraken on 25 Dec. Wilcke, who is also the Co-Founder of Grid Games, claimed that he needs the money to fund his game. Sources also show that an ETH address registered under a "Jeff Wilcke" shifted 90,000 ETH to Kraken in full.  |
Only for a select few  Malta-based crypto exchange OKEx has launched Bitcoin (BTC) options trading for a select group of traders before a public launch in January 2020. Its BTC options contract, introduced as part of a revamp of the platform's whole trading infrastructure, will be based on the Black Scholes pricing model, and will employ real-time data. The exchange claims that the introduction of options along with current margin trading, perpetual swaps and futures markets will diversify the hedging and trading strategies available to OKEx users.  Financial Market Director of OKEx, Lennix Lai, said that options, a unique instrument that allows traders to "manage, price and hedge the volatility of crypto assets," allow them to "take advantage of more than just market direction." |
Step by step Beginning 27 Dec, Exuma island residents can register in the Central Bank of The Bahamas' "Project Sand Dollar" to get mobile wallets to facilitate future payments on their island chain.  The project involves a "Sand Dollar", which central bankers insist to be a "digital fiat currency" that is "equivalent in every respect to the paper currency" instead of a "cryptocurrency, stablecoin or competitor to the Bahamian Dollar." This project is a step towards the Bahamas' long-term goal of launching a fully-fledged central bank digital currency (CBDC). The sand dollar is also believed to reduce currency printing costs and transaction fees, boost financial inclusion, place users at less risk of violent crimes and more. |
Other news  The impending Ethereum Classic (ETC) Agharta hard fork plans to make ETC completely compatible with Ethereum and speed up development of the ETC community and ecosystem.  Japanese financial services company Tokai Tokyo Financial Holdings will invest around 500 million yen in Huobi's Japanese branch to promote new businesses in various aspects, including cryptocurrency asset exchange, local currency issuance and more.  France's top financial regulator, the Financial Markets Authority, released new rules and guidelines on the licensing of digital asset service providers (DASPs), giving cryptocurrency companies the chance to apply for a license.

"Why or why not?" Would be cool, would go well with the interest section for new people entering the space - True  Education and neighborhood stores that offer assistance to the crypto layman who needs help to get up to speed about investing in and utilizing crypto-based currency will be a "must" for the digital-based daily activity of consummerism. – I agree. Anything to help bridge that knowledge gap will be useful.  Trustworthy and professional , so why not to set up a complete courses from A to Z , for ordinary people , that would lead to the widest adoption for cryptocurrencies faster . – Good idea!  Its the void that stops Jack and Jill Consumer from educating themselves. – Need to fill that up. It’ll facilitate the next bull run. Take Monero for instance. This is a very good Crypto Currency. We need straight-out information that anybody can use to buy & trade & set up wallet etc., It is so different then traditional currencies. – Yup! I get confounded. When I go to open an account, I find it easy to do but impossible to use. There is only a few coins that are possible to buy. How is it that everyone else is making a ton of money with crypto but I can not even participate much less make anything. – One way to help you get up to speed would be to watch tutorials on youtube. We don’t know enough to be considered educated crypto investors – We will help you with that in due time! Don’t you worry!  Yes I would. I'm clueless! – We’ll bring you up to speed. Stay tuned. Of course we need those little tips and tricks!!! – Always handy. |
