Slow day  Over the last 24 hours, total market capitalization pretty much stayed at the same level as it was yesterday, at ~$240 billion, with most coins either seeing gains or losses in the ~1-5% range. 24-hour volume registered ~$64.5 billion. Notable movers of the day include VeChain (VET) and Decred (DCR), both up ~16.4% and ~11.4% respectively. BTC is currently trading at ~$8,790, pretty much trading at the same levels as yesterday. On the daily chart, BTC broke below its 100-day EMA support line, and RSI is at ~47. On the weekly chart, BTC broke below its 21-EMA support line. BTC continues to be trading within its lower highs and lower lows trading pattern it has been trading within since late June this year.  |

Cash back  Bitcoin (BTC) payments application Fold now supports Airbnb by allowing Fold users to receive 3% back in BTC with every stay booked on the platform. Airbnb is now listed on its rewards program called Fold Kickbacks, and it supports Airbnb bookings using BTC's second layer Lightning Network (LN) by allowing the purchase of gift cards for BTC with 3% cashback.  The Fold Kickbacks program launched in July 2019, and already supports other leading retailers like Starbucks, Amazon and Uber. The company expects to start services in Europe soon, as it currently only works in select countries like the U.S., Australia, Canada, Ireland, Mexico and the U.K. |
Rewarded in crypto  The affiliate retail startup that offers Bitcoin (BTC) to online shoppers rather than the usual cashback benefits, Lolli, has announced its first Asian collaboration with Chinese e-commerce leader, Alibaba. The startup's in-browser application lets users shop via merchant sites as per normal, but now they will be able to earn small BTC rewards sent to their in-browser wallet. Lolli's head of communications, Aubrey Strobel, has informed crypto news outlet Coindesk that its benefits will only be open to purchases made in the U.S.. Lolli's CEO, Alex Adelman, called this partnership a turning point for them, and also revealed plans to grow internationally in 2020. |
To bigger things Since NASDAQ's acquisition of Cinnober in 2018, blockchain lead Eric Wall has left the exchange industry to join Norway-based Bitcoin (BTC) investment fund, Arcane Crypto. The fund targets high net worth Scandinavians and institutional investors worldwide, and is an investment branch of cryptocurrency company Arcane that also runs a technology team, trading branch and cryptocurrency news channel, Kryptografen.com. It is also notable to add that Arcane Crypto CEO Torbjorn Bull Jenssen is a largely recognized cryptocurrency expert in Norway. Wall also mentioned that while he could not reveal which specific assets would be Arcane's focus, but that outperformance separate from the revaluation of bitcoin would be the metric. |

Other news  We have launched a new metric on our site to measure liquidity!  After obtaining regulatory approval from the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS), institutional Bitcoin (BTC) trading platform Bakkt launched its custody function for its entire client base.  China's state-run Xinhua News Agency published a report that lauded Bitcoin (BTC) as the "first successful application of blockchain technology".

"Why do you say so?" It's never been done before, so I'm not about to hypothesize. Whenever money and time collide, impatience is sure to follow though, but givin' Vitalik some space here... - Yeah I feel that sometimes we gotta quit breathing down his neck. There's a lot on the line w what he's trying to do.  New coin must base to alternative.. Not ERC-20 but TRON TRC-10 and TRC -20 – Why only TRC? It has been an issue for a very long time and completion or solution dates have constantly been passed. In the meantime some negative effects on Ethereum Network have been seen, even if only as reflected in ETH price at 15% of its all time high compared to BTC 50% of its all time high. – Yeah kinda bummed out that they have to keep pushing deadlines back… BUT, I do think they will eventually solve the ETH 2.0 problem.  They are only in it for themselves. Remember DAO? – Not true. ETH has one of the widest distributions of any coin out there. There doing it right! – I think so too! Blockchain 3.0 already exists – True, but what about adoption on these Blockchain 3.0 chains? (: precisely and on top of that will it better than we expect or not... – I’m remaining optimistic. Why no quote of the day? – Switching up the format a little! It feels like it. – Hmm understandable It's a seriously tough problem. Could be world changing when they get it though – I have full confidence they eventually will. Eth has the most developers working on the chain than any other chain. |
