Blockchain in 5G ????

San Jose, California-based network technology company, Cisco, has recently won a patent, and the patent details how it can use blockchain to secure the data in 5G telecommunication networks.

The blockchain platform aims to manage data exchanges between a connected device via the blockchain interface and a network. ????

The patent also describes using a service-oriented architecture that enables multiple independent virtualized networks to operate in the same physical infrastructure more efficiently, allowing a "blockchain platform to support network slices."

More fiat-crypto onramps ????????

Moscow-based franchise of Singapore-based crypto exchange Huobi, Huobi Russia, now allows users to deposit Russian rubles on their balances using bank transfers.

According to Huobi Russia's CEO, Vladmir Demin, deposits will be processed through a bank in Uzbekistan where Huobi Russia's legal entity, HBRU CIS, has obtained a letter of approval from Uzbekistan's Justice Ministry. ????

The letter of approval states that the ministry regards operations related with software, digital assets and IT-consulting as not banned by applicable laws.

In addition, the Russian branch is also launching its own platform for token listings, Huobi Russia Origin, which will have its own token for fees soon.

Way of the tiger ????

Microsoft, together with leading game developer Eidos and gamebook company Fabled Lands, are collaborating to create a blockchain card game based on a 1980s best-selling gamebook, "The Way of the Tiger." ????

The game will be titled "Arena of Death" and players will fight in fantasy-themed card battles that have features from the original gamebook series written by Jamie Thomson and Mark Smith.

Fabled Lands' Chief Executive Officer, Thomson decided to use blockchain technology because he thinks it better suits what he is trying to achieve as compared to a traditional video game. The firm plans to use non-fungible tokens (NFT) on the Vechain blockchain to ensure ownership of in-game assets, and allow creating cards and in-game products "without having to deal with all the crypto stuff."
