Anywhere in the world IBM, SoftBank and TBCASoft are collaborating to adopt a cross-carrier telecommunications blockchain payment solution, through the Carrier Blockchain Study Group (CBSG) Consortium. The first application that CBSG will launch is the Cross-Carrier Payment System (CCPS) that allows mobile service users to pay local merchants overseas with their phones, thereby paving the way for interoperability amongst various telecommunications carriers to create a network of merchants that mobile service clients can access. Using a telecommunications network that enables cross-carrier relations allow "improved cross-carrier relations" and transforms the way "telecom carriers transact with partners and customers to deliver innovative payment solutions". |
Sharia-compliant Algorand (ALGO) has been certified as sharia-compliant by Bahrain-based Shariya Review Bureau (SRB), which stated that the platform is in line with the tenants of Islamic law. This move could connect Algorand and its attributes to a worldwide network of observant Islamic investors with an estimated worth of over $70 billion. Sharia compliance can be complicated for any investment vehicles, as it requires non profiting from activities banned under sharia law. According to Algorand CEO Steve Kokinos, he is "excited that forward-thinking Islamic enterprises will now be able to realize new business opportunities on a platform that is congruent to their finance guidelines.” Algorand intends to retain approval as it continues to develop by sending every dapp created on the platform for sharia compliance review. |

Poll of the DayHow much do you agree with this statement: "Facebook's Libra will do an overall net good to the U.S. financial system" |
Why or why not? Share with me in the polls! |
What you said "On a scale of 1-10 (10 being most useful), how useful would a blockchain enterprise solution be for the company you're currently working in?" The average vote was 7.6. 47.4% of y'all voted a '10'. |
"Why or why not?" They would likely screw up it's implemenation to the degree of becoming even more micro-managed. – hahahaha what little faith you have in em hotels are more need blockchain-based solution – Yeah, I would imagine so. It could help with room management. i work for a small company & on budget so our attitude is why fix something not broken.. but for a little large company there are lot of areas where blockchain can be employed for eg.. attendance, supply chain, communication, payments.. basically u name it.. – Yeah, you’re right! I work in telecom, so yeah, pretty useful – I wonder if that industry could one day be decentralized. I am a company of 1 so not sure what I gain from going blockchain i.e roi – Well a common application would be in logistics if your business involves that! Seeing that I resigned yesterday to start working on a few blockchain ideas, solutions to problems in enterprise and government, I hope it all 10's. But we living in a world where even lending someone an item as simple as a flashdrive needs to be on a blockchain as you never know what they will do it, or if you'll ever get it back. – Wow, good on you! All the best in our future endeavor! |
