Apple's #WWDC2019 (Worldwide Developers Conference) was yesterday and came with some really cool things for developers.

WWDC is always an interesting event where Apple introduces the tools for developers to make greater and greater apps and tools for their operating systems which include iOS, macOS, and as of yesterday, iPadOS!

macOS's next big upgrade will be called Catalina and with it comes a big change for developers.

By default macOS has used bash as the default shell. New user accounts in macOS Catalina will use zsh.

When working on a new mac, one of the first things I'll do is replace bash with something else like zsh or even Fish. This is a welcome change in my book.

Apple is recommending developers switch out bash to zsh in anticipation of this change.
