Amazon připomíná, že ukončí podporu posílání e-knih a dokumentů ve formátu MOBI do svých e-čteček. Jen se o původní termín skoro o rok protáhl. Kindly naopak podporují formát EPUB (bez DRM), se kterým se roky nekamarádily.

Čtečky Kindle budou podporovat formát ePUB a zahodí MOBI. Ale jsou v tom otazníky

Amazon oznámil, že v průběhu tohoto roku aktualizuje službu a aplikaci Send to Kindle tak, aby přijímala i populární formát e-knih ePUB. Na druhou stranu ale zároveň odstraní podporu formátu MOBI (.mobi, .azw). Stávající knihy ve čtečkách ale pochopitelně zůstanou.
