Here’s a weird one. A video game developer was contacted by another developer and the two shared some tips and advice with each other. Then a year later, one of those devs turned around and cloned the other’s game and, when questioned about it, replied that this kind of thing happens “every...

May Is The Month Of Puzzle Games And It Rules
24.5.2024
At the beginning of this year, I could not have predicted how jam-packed May would be when it came to games. The biggest release on the calendar was Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, which we now know is good, but beyond that, it didn’t feel like May would be a huge month for games Then the month started...
Duck Detective Is The Perfect Indie Mystery You Can Finish In Just 2 Hours
23.5.2024
Released on May 23, 2024 for Switch and Windows (and it runs perfectly on Steam Deck), Duck Detective: The Secret Salami is an endearing indie puzzle game full of character. And while I didn’t totally vibe with its puzzles, the presentation made the experience more than worth its brief, silly...
Hades 2 Is An Unbelievable Sequel To One Of The Best Games Ever
23.5.2024
Playing Hades in the throes of the anguish that was 2020 was exactly the balm I needed. It was the rare roguelike that worked for me, marrying a story that toyed with a pantheon and mythos I’d loved since childhood with some of the most white-knuckle combat I’d experienced in a game. Whether...

20.5.2024
On May 20, 2014 developer Supergiant Games (the team behind 2020’s hit roguelike Hades and its recently-released-in-early-access sequel) released its second game, Transistor. The sci-fi action RPG was widely considered a wonderful sophomore outing for the developer, receiving a 9/10 from the likes...
This Morrowind-Inspired RPG’s 1.0 Release Was Worth The Wait
17.5.2024
I first played the retro-inspired RPG Dread Delusion nearly two years ago in the first days of its early access period. I liked what I played in the handful of hours I put into it thanks to the throwback Morrowind-esque world and mechanics, as well as the hint of cosmic horror. But as someone...
Hades 2's First Patch Makes You Faster
16.5.2024
Supergiant Games’ roguelike Hades 2 has been out in early access for a little over a week and a half and it’s been a pretty wonderful (and disgustingly hot) time so far. However, some players have had difficulty adjusting to protagonist Melinoë’s dash, as well as her ability to sprint. Luckily...

Je to nářez, ale zatím jen v předběžném přístupu. Hráli jsme Hades 2
10.5.2024
Jedna z nejlépe hodnocených her roku 2020 se dočkala pokračování.
